Awards for Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster

The Best Oral Presentation was awarded to Robert Knuteson of the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his talk on “Validation of Satellite AIRS LST/LSE Products Using Aircraft Observations.” Co-authors on the presentation include Brian Osborne, Hank Revercomb, Dave Tobin, and Bill Smith, Sr.

The Best Poster was awarded to Soumia Serrar of LMD for a poster on “Simultaneous determination of continental surface emissivity and temperature from NOAA-10/HIRS observations. Analysis of their seasonal variations.” Authors on the poster are: A. Chédin, E. Péquignot, S. Serrar, and N. A. Scott.
