It was agreed that, while the task group will address surface property modelling for all surface types, in the first instance the task group would focus on land surface emissivity atlas and model developments in the first instance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catherine Prigent (Meteo France) and Fuzhong Weng (NOAA\/NESDIS) are the co-chairs of the surface property models task group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The task group has completed a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itwg.ssec.wisc.edu\/rtsp\/surface-sensitive-atovs-survey\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"348\">survey of operational weather centres<\/a>\u00a0on the use of surface-sensitive ATOVS radiances, and is organising the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itwg.ssec.wisc.edu\/rtsp\/meetings\/sfcem1-2006\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"55\">First Workshop on Remote Sensing and Modeling of Surface Properties<\/a>, to be held in Paris in June 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary of operational surface emissivity models<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These tables are an incomplete summary of current surface emissivity models.
